Pike County VINELink Coverage
Pennsylvania Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification, called PA SAVIN, is delivered through VINELink. The free and confidential service receives information from participating Pennsylvania county jails, state prisons, and state parole. County-jail events can include release, escape, and movement. A result describes information supplied by the reporting agency. It is a notification and status system, not the official court judgment or a permanent release archive.
Pike County Correctional Facility directly links the Pennsylvania VINE service. That local link is important because Pike publishes no verified online jail roster, 24-hour release list, or 72-hour release list. VINELink can help with one specific person, but it cannot produce a complete list of everyone recently released from PCCF. It also does not promise that every old released record remains searchable.

Pike County Release Alert Route
The official PCCF page routes visitors to Pennsylvania VINE, the ICE detainee locator, and a county Release Packet. It does not show a public recent-release tab. As a result, VINE is the county-endorsed public notification route when a person is believed to be in the participating county system. This is Research Section 19's local notification angle, and it is distinct from a generic statewide search.
A VINE release alert should still be corroborated when the precise release type or destination matters. Leaving PCCF could mean release to the community, county supervision, another county, PA DOC, USMS, or ICE. The status event may show a custody change without answering every destination question. Ask PCCF for its release entry or request the existing record when the next custodian is unclear.
Note: PCCF's link supports use of VINE for notifications, but it does not turn VINELink into a complete Pike release log.
Search Pike County VINELink
Use the direct Pennsylvania VINELink person search for a one-person check. Gather the full legal name first. A birth date, agency ID, or other known detail can help distinguish people with similar names, but the interface and available fields may vary. Do not select a record merely because the name looks close.
- Open the Pennsylvania person search and confirm that Pennsylvania is the selected state.
- Enter the person's first and last name. Use the available identifier option when a reliable ID is known.
- Review all returned person cards. Compare the agency, identity details, and custody context.
- Open only the matching record and read the exact custody status or event shown.
- Record the source agency and last-updated context, then confirm the event with that agency if exact timing or destination is needed.
Spelling, aliases, and data timing can affect results. A no-result response does not prove release. The person may be in a nonparticipating context, outside Pennsylvania VINE coverage, held by ICE or a federal agency, listed under another name, or no longer retained in the searchable released records. Pike VINELink Release Fields
Read only the labels actually displayed. Official material describes name or ID search, custody status, and notification functions. A county result may identify the reporting agency and a custody event. Where a released event remains shown, it reflects source-agency data at that point in time. It does not guarantee indefinite retention, and it should not be rewritten as an exact release date if the result does not provide one.

Register Pike County Release Alerts
Once the correct person is open, registration can use phone, text, email, or app channels. Contact details and the PIN are private registration data. Keep them out of public records and screenshots. The person being monitored is not told who registered, according to the official program information.
- Select Get Notified on the correct person record.
- Choose Add, select the desired methods, and enter a phone number or email address.
- Continue with Next: PIN and create a four-digit PIN.
- Complete registration and keep the PIN available for alert calls.
- Update the contact methods through VINELink or the hotline when a number or address changes.
Telephone registration is available at 866-972-7284 from a touch-tone phone. TTY service is 866-847-1298. During an alert call, enter the PIN followed by the pound sign to acknowledge the event. If the PIN is forgotten, call the main line and press 0. Operators are available at all hours.
Pike VINELink Call Timing
Calls may arrive overnight because custody events do not follow office hours. If an automated phone notice is not acknowledged with the PIN, calls can repeat for 24 to 48 hours. This repeat cycle is an alert-delivery feature, not proof that a person was released more than once. Listen to the full message and note the agency tied to it.
Missed text, email, or app messages can also become stale if contact details are not kept current. Registration should never be the only plan for safety or release confirmation. VINELink itself warns against sole reliance on the system. Call the source agency for the latest fact, especially when timing is urgent or the custody destination is unclear.
Note: Alert delivery may lag the source record, so the message time and actual custody-event time can differ.
Pike VINELink Coverage Limits
VINELink does not cover federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE custody. This limit is especially relevant in Pike County because PCCF also houses ICE detainees. A person who leaves the county facility under an ICE transfer may no longer be in the county record context while still remaining in government custody. For a federal sentenced person, use the BOP Inmate Locator. Some USMS pretrial and transport cases may not appear there in the same way as a BOP sentence. For a state prisoner or parolee, use PA DOC. The state supervised-person locator can show a past Release Date for a currently supervised person, but it does not provide a public future projected-release field.
The custody chain should be explicit: PCCF record for departure from the county building, VINE for a reported participating-agency event, PA DOC for state custody or state parole, BOP for federal imprisonment, and ICE for immigration detention. One system cannot answer for all the others.
Pike VINELink Status Versus Records
A VINELink status and an agency release record answer related but different questions. VINELink helps answer whether a participating source reported a custody state or change for the selected person. The PCCF release entry can answer when the person left that facility and may identify the release authority, type, or destination. A UJS docket can show the bail or court order behind the change. None of these records should be made to answer a fact it does not contain.
This distinction is useful when the alert simply says release or movement. If PCCF sent the event, call the facility and ask whether the person went to the community or another custodian. If PA DOC sent it, check the state locator and inmate record for a prison-to-parole event. If an ICE transfer is possible, move to the immigration lookup because VINE stops at that system boundary. The same approach prevents a notification delay from being mistaken for a legal delay.
Keep the full name, source agency, displayed event, and approximate booking or custody period ready for a records request. Ask for an existing release or discharge entry rather than a newly created explanation. Where part of a record is exempt, Pike County's research recommends asking the office to redact that material and provide the rest. This creates a durable confirmation when an alert later disappears from the public interface.
Confirm Pike County Release
When VINELink reports a Pike County release, save the agency name, displayed status, and event information. Then contact the agency that supplied the data.
